Welcome to the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District
Welcome to family-friendly Paso Robles, located along the Salinas River among the stately oaks for which it is named, amid sprawling grasslands and beautiful vineyards. Paso has been identified as one of the best small towns in the nation to live in and a favorite vacation destination. We are close to a major university (Cal Poly San Luis Obispo) and an easy drive from Morro Bay, Hearst Castle, Pismo Beach, the Sierras, the Bay Area, the Central Valley, and the Southland.
Paso Robles is, in many ways, a traditional small town. Still, new industries are looking to move here, and the community seeks to find a balance of new growth and maintenance of its unique historical traditions, such as the annual Pioneer Day Parade in October and the site of the Mid State Fair each summer. Ours is a diverse community with opportunities for all to find work, start a business, reside, be entertained, and raise a family.
The Paso Robles Joint Unified School District enrolls shy of 6,300 students in award-winning schools, including national recognition in Career Technical Education, Advanced Placement, Dual Immersion, Journalism, Agriculture, Visual and Performing Arts, Athletics, and many more programs to provide a well-rounded education to our youth. We have a single comprehensive high school, which is in many ways the community's pride with the motto, “Once a Bearcat, Always a Bearcat.” We also have two middle and six elementary schools, including the highly acclaimed Dual Immersion Program at Georgia Brown, an alternative high school, an Independent study/Home School for all grades, and a brand new Early Learning Academy/ Preschool at Marie Bauer Early Learning Center.
We hope you find our new website easily accessible and informative. We are always looking for ways to improve our communication with the community. We are all one community and welcome your input. If you see a discrepancy on our website, please share it with us, and let's fix it together.
