The Paso Robles High School Athletic Hall of Fame was established to recognize and honor those Paso Robles High School graduates who have distinguished themselves in athletics, coaching, officiating, or through extraordinary service in support of Bearcat Athletics.

The selection process is conducted annually by a dedicated committee of community members and high school staff: Mrs. Terry Anderson, Ms. Juanetta Perkins, Mr. Scott Larson, Mr. Mark Perry, Mr. Paul Kinne, Mr. Ray Dauth, Mr. Derek Stroud, Mr. Tom Harrington and Mr. Paul Otto, Athletic Director.

Paso Robles High School Athletics is proud to announce that five distinguished individuals and one historic team will be inducted into the Bearcat Athletic Hall of Fame during a special ceremony on Friday, October 2, 2026, at War Memorial Stadium during halftime of the Bearcats' home football game against Lompoc High School.

2026 INDUCTEES

Toby Cinque (Class of 1988)

Toby Cinque carved out a legacy as one of the most prolific dual-sport leaders and hitters in Paso Robles High School history. Earning four varsity letters across baseball and soccer, Toby capped his senior year as team captain and MVP in both sports. On the pitch, he earned First-Team All-Los Padres League and First-Team All-County honors. On the diamond, he claimed First-Team All-LPL, First-Team All-County, and Most Valuable Offense accolades, while also receiving the Senior Excellence Award and the Lions Club Sportsmanship Award for his exemplary leadership.

Toby took his talents to Cuesta College (1989–1991), where he played a pivotal role on Coach Larry Lee’s back-to-back Western State Conference Championship teams in 1990 and 1991. He then transferred to Sonoma State University (1992–1993), delivering one of the most remarkable individual seasons in program history. As a senior team captain and MVP, Toby earned First-Team All-NCAC and First-Team All-West Region honors while nearly winning the NCAC Triple Crown—leading the conference in batting average and home runs, and placing second in RBIs. He set single-season school records for home runs (13), RBIs (52), total bases (118), and slugging percentage (.711), all while playing flawless defense with zero errors in 121 total chances. In recognition of his collegiate dominance, he was inducted into the Sonoma State Athletic Hall of Fame in 1999. Toby Cinque’s career reflects the pinnacle of athletic excellence, academic discipline, and Bearcat pride.

 

Lonzo Davis (Class of 1985)

For decades, Lonzo Davis has been a foundational pillar of Paso Robles athletics—first as an elite three-sport athlete, and later as a championship coach and community mentor. Competing in baseball, basketball, and football, Lonzo earned All-League honors in all three sports during both his junior and senior years. His legendary 1985 campaign saw him named the San Luis Obispo County Basketball Player of the Year, the KSBY Player of the Year, and an All-League selection in football, basketball, and baseball, following a 1983 League Championship season on the gridiron. He carried his athletic talents to Cuesta College, earning 1988 Second-Team All-Conference infielder honors and setting the school's single-season sacrifice record.

Lonzo’s passion for competition smoothly transitioned into a transformative coaching career dedicated to developing Bearcat student-athletes. After serving as an assistant in both the baseball and basketball programs at Paso Robles High School, he took the helm as Head Coach of the PRHS Girls Basketball team, guiding them to an undefeated 10–0 League Championship and a 2nd-place finish in the Central Section Championships during the historic 2021 season. Beyond the high school ranks, Lonzo served as the Director of Elementary Athletics, expanding youth programs and instilling the core values of discipline, sportsmanship, and perseverance in generations of young athletes. From county player of the year to championship-winning coach, Lonzo Davis epitomizes a lifetime of service, leadership, and Bearcat pride.

 

Bailey Gaither (Class of 2015)

Bailey Gaither’s legacy at Paso Robles High School is defined by game-changing speed and dual-sport dominance. A four-year varsity baseball standout and three-year football powerhouse, Bailey was named the 2014 CIF Player of the Year, SLO County Player of the Year, and league Offensive Player of the Year following an extraordinary senior campaign where he finished his prep career with 167 receptions, 3,277 receiving yards, and 56 total touchdowns. On the diamond, he surpassed 100 career stolen bases and was honored as the Pac 8 Player of the Year, County Player of the Year, and an All-State selection as a junior.

Bailey continued his elite athletic trajectory at San José State University, where he served as team captain, earned First-Team All-Mountain West honors, and led the Spartans to the 2020 Mountain West Championship. His football career carried into the professional ranks as an undrafted free agent with the Green Bay Packers, followed by stints with the Baltimore Ravens and two seasons in the USFL with the Pittsburgh Maulers. Bailey Gaither’s remarkable speed, versatility, and championship drive exemplify the very best of Paso Robles athletics.

 

Josh Oliver (Class of 2015)

Josh Oliver stands as one of the most decorated and versatile athletes in Paso Robles High School history. Josh dominated on both the gridiron and the hardwood, competing as a tight end, defensive end, and linebacker in football, and as a forward in basketball. He anchored the 2014 Bearcat squad that captured the CIF Division 3 State Championship—a campaign that earned him 2014 CIF Southern Section Northern Division Defensive Player of the Year, All-State, and First-Team All-County Basketball honors. Grounded in his personal motto to “Dream big! Always believe. Follow your passions and write down your goals,” and guided by Proverbs 16:9 ("A man's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps"), Josh’s achievements set a benchmark for excellence.

His extraordinary athletic journey continued at San José State University (2015–2018). A team captain, 36-game starter, and three-time Academic All-Mountain West selection, Josh proved himself as a force both on the field and in the classroom. In 2018, he ranked third among all FBS tight ends in receptions and earned First-Team All-Mountain West honors, becoming just the fourth tight end in Spartan history to surpass 1,000 career receiving yards. After earning an invitation to the 2019 Reese’s Senior Bowl, Josh was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the third round (69th overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft. Across seasons with the Jaguars, Baltimore Ravens, and Minnesota Vikings, he has developed into one of the NFL’s premier blocking tight ends. Through 82 NFL games (44 starts), Josh has compiled 85 receptions for 861 receiving yards (10.1 avg.) and 11 touchdowns, earning widespread praise from coaches, analysts, and advanced metrics for his dominant run blocking and reliability as a target. Josh Oliver epitomizes the strength, dedication, and pride of Bearcat Athletics.

 

Dewey Stroud (Class of 1979)

Dewey Stroud’s career represents one of the most enduring and impactful legacies in Paso Robles High School history. Named the 1979 PRHS Athlete of the Year, Dewey earned seven varsity letters across football, basketball, and baseball. On the gridiron, he was a two-time All-League and All-SLO County selection, the 1978 LPAL Back of the Year, and a member of the 1977 CIF finalist team. On the diamond, he led the Bearcats to the 1978 CIF Finals while capturing LPAL Most Valuable Player, All-CIF, and back-to-back All-League and All-County honors.

Dewey carried his talents to Santa Barbara City College and Westmont College before building an impressive career in professional baseball operations—working in the front office for the San Antonio Missions (1992–1993), coaching with Major League Baseball International (1994), and serving as General Manager of the Reno Chukars (1995–1997). His commitment to sports extended over decades of service as a coach and official. At PRHS, he served as Associate Head Baseball Coach from 1999 to 2018, alongside coaching roles in football, golf, and basketball. Additionally, Dewey has dedicated 30 years to officiating high school football and basketball—earning the 2010 Los Padres Football Official of the Year award and officiating six CIF Finals games. Dewey Stroud exemplifies lifelong devotion to sportsmanship, leadership, and Bearcat athletics.

TEAM RECOGNITION

The 1971 Paso Robles High School Golf Team

The 1971 Paso Robles High School Golf Team set a standard of excellence that remains unmatched more than five decades later. Led by four-year lettermen Jason Cybulski, Larry Jenkins, David Hahn, and Bill Drennan—who also competed alongside fellow Bearcat Hall of Famers Paul Hahn and Jerry Shreeves—this remarkable group formed the core of one of the most dominant program runs in school history. Competing in 15 to 17 matches per season from 1968 to 1971, the Bearcats compiled an astonishing 56–8 overall record, losing just eight matches across their entire four-year high school careers. 

Their sustained team success captured League Championships in both 1969 and 1971, punctuated by back-to-back sweeps of the top three individual spots at the league finals during their junior and senior years. Individually, the quartet consistently placed at the top of the leaderboard: Larry Jenkins captured the 1970 League Tournament Championship, Jay Cybulski claimed the 1971 League Individual Title after finishing runner-up in 1970, and Bill Drennan and Dave Hahn earned multiple top-three league tournament finishes. In postseason play, Jenkins (14th, 73), Cybulski (19th, 74), and Drennan (79) delivered standout performances at the 1970 CIF Southern Section Individual Tournament. By their senior year, all four teammates earned All-League honors. Marking the 55th anniversary of their graduation as members of the Class of 1971, the Bearcat Athletic Hall of Fame is proud to recognize the 1971 Paso Robles High School Golf Team during this year’s induction ceremony, honoring their collective legacy, camaraderie, and enduring impact on Bearcat golf.
