Maintenance, Operations & Transportation (MOT)

Welcome to the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District Maintenance, Operations & Transportation Department. Our mission is to provide safe, clean, functional, and welcoming learning environments that support student achievement and staff success every day.

Led by Kelly Stainbrook, Director of Maintenance, Operations & Transportation, and supported by JP Camsuzou, Operations Manager, the department is responsible for the care, maintenance, operation, and stewardship of District facilities, grounds, infrastructure, and transportation services. Together, our teams support every school site and facility across PRJUSD, often working behind the scenes to ensure that students and staff can focus on teaching and learning.

Our department motto is:

"We speak for the buildings and assets that can't speak for themselves."

This philosophy reflects our commitment to protecting the District's investments and ensuring that facilities remain safe, reliable, and well-maintained for current and future generations of students.

Maintenance Division

Our Maintenance Team consists of seven highly skilled craftsmen representing five specialized trades. These professionals perform preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, construction support, and modernization work throughout the District. Their expertise helps ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while maintaining facilities that are safe, efficient, and in good repair.

Grounds Division

Our Grounds Team includes five dedicated Groundskeepers and one Pool Technician who are responsible for maintaining school campuses, athletic fields, landscaped areas, irrigation systems, and outdoor learning environments. Their work enhances campus appearance, promotes safety, and provides students with attractive and functional spaces for recreation, athletics, and learning.

Custodial Division

The Custodial Team is made up of 43 hardworking Custodians and one Custodial Supervisor who take great pride in maintaining clean, healthy, and welcoming schools. Their daily efforts support student wellness, infection prevention, campus safety, and the overall educational experience. From classrooms and offices to gyms and cafeterias, these professionals help ensure that every facility is ready to serve students each day.

The Maintenance, Operations & Transportation Department is often referred to as a "behind-the-scenes" organization, but its impact is visible throughout every campus. From repairing critical infrastructure and maintaining athletic fields to ensuring classrooms are clean and safe, our employees are dedicated public servants who take pride in supporting the educational mission of PRJUSD.
