Key to the District Recognition
|The Key to the District Recognition
The Paso Robles Joint Unified School District’s “Key to the District” is an annual recognition established in the 2024–2025 school year to honor an individual or group whose service has made a meaningful impact on our schools and community.
Each year, one recipient is selected and presented with a golden key plaque in recognition of their contributions. The honoree is celebrated at the District’s Annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner.
|The Criteria
The Key to the District Award is the highest recognition the District bestows upon a volunteer or group of volunteers. It is awarded annually to an individual or group whose outstanding commitment, generosity, and service have made a significant and lasting impact on our schools, students, and community.
Nominees for this prestigious honor should meet the following criteria:
- Exceptional Service: Demonstrates sustained and meaningful volunteerism that goes above and beyond expectations in support of students, staff, or schools within the District.
- Positive Impact: Contributes to measurable or clearly observable improvements in the school community, student well-being, or educational environment.
- Alignment with District Values: Reflects the District’s core values, including integrity, compassion, collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to student success.
- Long-Term Contribution or Special Achievement: Represents either years of dedicated service or a single extraordinary contribution that significantly benefits the District.
- Inspiration and Leadership: Serves as a role model, inspiring others to get involved and fostering a spirit of collaboration and civic engagement.
Final selection is made by the Superintendent.
