The role of the Credentialed School Nurse is to provide medical leadership in the school community to oversee school health policies and programs.   The school nurse serves a pivotal role in providing expertise on health services and promoting health education.

Nursing support staff working at the site level are Licensed, Vocational Nurses or Psychiatric Technicians.  The district currently employs eleven LVN/Psych Techs who are each assigned to a school or program.  The role of the site nurse is to manage immediate medical emergencies, promote health among students daily, assist with medication administration (injections), and provide specialized nursing procedures.
